Key Details of the 2025 Battery Rebate

Program Start Date:
The official rebate program commences on July 1, 2025.

Generous Customer Savings:
You’re looking at approximately $300 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of battery capacity installed. This substantial subsidy is designed to make battery storage more accessible. (Please note: The subsidy amount is set to reduce each year until the end of 2030, so acting sooner is beneficial!)

Maximum Claim:
Install up to 50 kWh of battery capacity, potentially receiving up to $15,000 in savings.

Minimum Claim:
A minimum of 5 kWh of battery capacity is required to be eligible, equating to approximately $1,500 in savings.

Seamless Solar & Battery Integration:
This rebate applies to batteries connected to both new and existing solar systems. Even if you already have a battery system, you can install additional batteries and still be eligible for the rebate on the new capacity.

STC Rebate for Panels:
The existing STC rebate for solar panels remains unchanged and is claimed separately, further enhancing your overall savings when installing a new solar system with battery storage.

Accreditation & Assurance:
Rest assured, all eligible batteries must be approved by the Clean Energy Council. Bright Spark Group has all the required accreditation and expertise to install these approved battery systems, ensuring your installation meets the highest Australian standards for safety and performance.

We came across Brite Spark at the Ipswich Show a number of years ago and decided on them to install a solar system. Unfortunately this was unable to go ahead due to a damaged roof. They identified the issue straight away and were great about it all, refunding our deposit promptly. Fast forward to now, we locked in install of a battery and bigger system and they were fantastic. We had a small hiccup with the roof (again, no fault of Brite Spark) which they gladly waited out until it was resolved in a few weeks. Their communication is excellent, they are very prompt and it was a good clean job. Pricing was competitive (not the cheapest) but given the ease of dealing with them and quality of job it was absolutely worth paying a little more. Great company, highly recommend them.
